“Winter Carnival 2024 Celebrates All Dimensions of the Eaglebrook Experience”
Eaglebrook celebrated its 102nd Winter Carnival last weekend with a series of unforgettable moments for students, parents, and faculty. The weekend kicked off with a morning assembly, where Brad M. ‘24 spoke about Winter Carnival traditions. This was followed by morning classes attended by parents and a hearty buffet lunch. The early afternoon kicked off with musical performances by Eaglebrook’s Band, Chorus, and several student pianists. Click here for a photo recap, and here to listen to recordings of the show. As the sun started to dip, the school converged along the slopes of Mount Pocumtuck for the fiercely contested Winter Carnival Games. Dorms competed in a series of contests for the coveted Winter Carnival Cup, with Halstead emerging victorious for the third consecutive year. The annual games were followed by an Evening of the Arts that included more musical performances by the String Orchestra, Jazz Band, and the Ad Libs and a student play.

지난 주말 이글브룩의 학생, 부모 및 교직원들은 102 번째 윈터 카니발 축제를 기념하여 잊지 못할 순간들을 맞이했습니다. 원터 카니발이 있는 주말 아침은 Brad M. ‘24의 이글브룩 윈터 카니발 전통에 대한 이야기로 시작하였습니다. 이어서 오전에 학부모 공개수업이 이루어졌고 모두가 함께 푸짐한 점심뷔페를 즐겼습니다. 이후 오후 행사로 이글브룩 밴드와 합창단 및 여러명의 학생 피아니스트들이 참여한 음악 공연이 열렸습니다. 콘서트를 마친 후, 해가 넘어갈 무렵 이글브룩 전통인 윈터 카니발 게임을 위해 포컴터크 (Mount. Pocumtuck) 산의 비탈길에 모였습니다. 기숙사 별로 이루어진 팀들은 윈터 카니발 우승컵을 위해 여러가지 대결에 참여했고, 올해에도 Halstead가 연속으로 3년째 승리를 쟁취했습니다. 이글브룩 윈터카니발 게임이 끝난 후, 현악기 오케스트라, 재즈 밴드 및 Ad Libs (이글브룩 아카펠라 그룹)와 학생 연극등 더 많은 음악 공연과 예술의 장이 펼쳐졌습니다.
